Same rules as always: these emails will be quick and dirty. The comments will be open, and I will be looking at them and posting my count there. Thanks for this offering. I just hit 1259 words for my novel in progress. My goal is to finish it by the summer so I need to get moving and this challenge is helping me do that.

Thank you SO much for your personal message in my copy of your memoir that came in the mail from Books Are Magic right before it launched! I read it breathlessly without stopping in one gulp. And, currently, I am reading it all the way through again, one bite at a time, savoring every sentence, immersing myself in your wit and truths and wisdom. I also attended your virtual evening with Isaac Fitzgerald and been listening to the video of your conversation with Benjamin Dreyer, both of which I've enjoyed immensely. All this to say, thank you, thank you, thank you for being true to you in life and on the page. You're such an inspiration to me. I'm on board for another 1000 to continue building the story I began and have been working on since your last 1000 words of summer. I've discovered some roadblocks in my plot and need to write my way out of them. Thanks for the invitation and looking forward to it!

See you soon! I made so much progress on my novel last year w/this impetus/inspiration/encouragement/peer pressure 😉 that it's now 265 pages/65,000 words. Hoping a #mini1000 will help me push through to finish this revision. Thank so much, Jami, & good luck, all writers.
