Good morning, or whatever time zone you are in. I did 1083 words early. Oh, the siren song of phone scrolling--I set the siren aside. I wrote in an uncharted area, note about a lost friendship that I haven't really written about before. I haven't reviewed anything I've written yet. I've been writing to get back into the practice of getting a lot of words on the page. I'm looking forward to the writing telling me where it wants to go. xo to Jami, and everyone here doing this magic thing!

Just wrapped my 1028 words. I have a morning call with a Creative-Spiritual coaching client in less than an hour and I told myself I could write my words later. But instead, I got to it and did it. Even though we are each writing alone, we are writing together. And I wanted to surf that energy. I'm so grateful to everyone here for the companionship and the momentum we build together. Thank you, Jami.xo

Good morning. Just did 1,274 words. It's only 7:30, and I started early today, having awoken a couple times during the night and unable to sleep past 5 am. I have a lot of nervous anticipation as I start each writing session. It's like I'm joining a formation of geese or such who are helping each other with our wing draft. The first thing I do when I start is to re-read yesterday's output. Today, I was seriously pleased with it. Not when I was writing it, however--I had let go of any attitude or judgment of its quality. What I've noticed during these past 5 days is that the new scenes are going in surprising directions. For this I am grateful. I'll re-read the whole body of it from Saturday on. Thanks again, Jami.

I wrote 1017 words this morning at work before my first meeting. And, also I hit the halfway mark in my word count goal!! I have written 40,781 words on this story, which is possibly the most I've ever done on a writing project, and hopefully I'll get to 80k by the end of the year. Kind of can't believe I've come this far, and also kind of have no idea how I'll make it to 80k, but one day at a time.

Good morning, Day 5, 1803 words. Day 5! I love that there are 7,000 people participating, the collective energy of making things. It's stormy here today, gray and rainy and winds whipping the trees around -- perfect writing weather. We're almost home! It's been a nice respite from revising mode to writing mode, reminding the story that I'm still into it, that it's still there.

I haven't been able to do the Mini this time, but I just want to say how much I love the photos you are posting every day! And your writing advice isn't bad, either. ;-) Thank you.

The writing wasn’t quite so emotional today. Much lighter. That’s a relief. Not worried about what I’m writing. I’ll look back on the whole thing after I’m done.

1101 words. And I am going to read through everything. I know that it's all mess, but there's hope for it yet!

1,047 just as the clock stuck midnight. I'm finding the late, quiet hours to be surprisingly productive for me. I've heard of so many writer who swear by the early morning routine that I thought it's what I *should* do, but I'm learning to tap into what works for me. One more day - thank you, Jami!
