1053 and done. I typed it all on my phone today rather than handwriting for no other reason but just to be efficient and speedy and I was sort of on the go this morning. Oh also - I wrote a sex scene and it was really fun.

Had a great great great day today! The best ever I believe for me, got 1450 and done before 1am!!! This mini all my writing has unfortunately been running from 9pm to 130am. With exception of my catch up yesterday afternoon and today's mega roll! Which i just finished I hope can get the writing in early these next days as well! Really works better during daylight it seems, I hope i can continue this energy even after this mini I do feel like I'm building a better platform🤗
You are right, Jami, by day 4 I am back in the swing of the party. I got to sleep early and I woke up at 5 am ready to rock and roll. I wrote a scene that I didn't know I had until I started going. I had a seed of an idea, but then the scene blossomed as I continued to follow the inspiration. Now that I reread my almost 900 words, I see that what is revealed in this scene will set up the next two scenes. There is real magic in writing very early in the morning. I will remind myself of that fact tonight when I want to stay up late reading. Early to bed, early to rise, Scoobie doobie doo. Sending good thoughts to each of you, my dear kindred spirits.
Yesterday really felt like a surrender rather than a fight. It was so good. Then today- struggle bus. I remind myself that each day is different but each writing session has value and lessons to teach. 1,048 today, which felt like 10,000. Onward! ❤️
Passed the 1000 word mark and am setting this aside for now, but will probably write more later. Completely agree that once I am inside of a story, I think about it all the time. It's intoxicating! Today I made it to page 100 of my novel in progress - feels like a nice little milestone, even though I know I'm still near the beginning of this journey. Good luck to all the writers (and the dreamers) today. :)
This was my experience this morning. I finished writing and went for a walk... so many little epiphanies about my WIP seemed to spring up through the cracks in the sidewalk. I was tempted to come home and do another writing session, but instead I made notes for tomorrow. I think there's something in delayed gratification for me. Knowing those little revelations are waiting for me to work with in the morning is pretty exciting.
Barely made it at 1004, and that felt like a bit of a stretch for the content, but I'm reminding myself that this is the first draft and editing is coming later and we can revisit this piece then! so, partying for finishing!
There's no party like a writer's party! Had to sneak it in this afternoon, started with redoing what I did yesterday and then 1329 new. I've been thinking about getting to the page all day! Nothing like a craving to keep you going.
I don't know how to "count" this time. I can only say I've revised the first six thousand words of my novel this week, going over and over it, looking for that just-right sentence Jamie started me searching for and thinking about. Slowly, I'm finding some, and then tinkering with the sentences around them so they hold hands--that analogy works for me! And now, yes, it is more like the characters are at my party, talking more, loosening up, breaking free of the original tight structure where I had them, opening up the story. It's not 1000 new words a day--but every page is better.
