Just over 1000 each day since we've started, and feeling really good about the direction. Thanks to everyone for the inspiration and check-ins, And esp to Jami for the daily awesomeness vibes :-)
1,008 today, and I finished a story! I haven't gotten to the end of a short story draft in YEARS. I'm looking forward to editing it and and then starting in tomorrow on new material. I want to keep myself excited and I'd like to get to know some new characters. We're doing it, everyone!
??? words while sick toddler watched Bluey, then another few minutes while the baby napped. started googling "how to switch from writing nonfiction to fiction" and that—along with the baby monitor lighting up—was my cue to hang it up for the day.
No words yesterday, lost the entire day to migraine. Hoping to get some focused time this morning, but most of my time is constantly interrupted by family, pets, a disabled hen I'm caring for.
Day 4, 1128 words that felt fun and easy. I started with "just lay out the facts," but it quickly became storytelling as I found my voice and explored some of the out-of-the-way corners of each scene.
1122 words on something that seems to have no beginning and no end but it's more words on a page than I had when the day started, so I'll take it as a win and have trust that both things (the beginning and the end) will reveal themselves if I keep at it. Grateful for this space to share progress and see how everyone else is doing.
1048 today and it was just fine, messy, but a few good lines in there. I'll take it!
Oh I'm at 4450 total. If I could make it to 6k by end of day tomorrow that would be cool but not necessary. But fun to shoot for!

Managed 1200 fairly focused words yesterday. Hoping to manage today, but the feeling and schedule are different. We’ll see!
Over the halfway point! Let’s go! I’ve got 1186 words on my screen today that weren’t there yesterday. That counts!
Day 4 already? Wrote some words, it's like flossing. :)

Got 1001 today and forced myself to stop at the really exciting part of the story to keep me motivated for tomorrow. thank you.... thank you!
1059. It wasn't easy today, but glad I kept going.
I'm calling it at 88 words. I haven't felt well at all today our yesterday. But I have words at least.
Scraped through with 1,008 today and just grateful I was able to take that time for myself.

A disabled hen? That sounds like an interesting story
I'll definitely write about her one day.
1056 words today. Phew. It was choppy and took 3 attempts at sitting down to write to accomplish it but it got done!
1001 words, almost missed it by taking a nap!
