1002 and I am going to pick up my flower order now. Hope everyone is having fun today!

Weird, I also did 1002, plus several notebook pages thinking things through. (What is a chapter? I did not seem to know the answer for this book, this day. Maybe a future topic for you?)

Funny how one random thought of not wanting to be sucked into dealing with WW2 brought on this morning’s deep dive into backstory history. I’m not saying it was wasted effort because it needed to be done. I guess I was so involved, I didn’t even remember drinking that second cup of coffee and ended up with 2500 words.

For this mini, I’m writing in a letter format to a fictional person and it seems to help me remove the judgement of whether “these words are good enough to count.” It’s only my second day trying this to help myself write more freely and I hope it keeps working.

1199, drafted overdue essay, and would never have managed to carve out time on a Saturday, with kids home and another kid visiting, if not for this. Thank you, Jami.

No I think I counted wrong too ha! Monday is the last day. We started on Tuesday the 8th.

1172. Definitely feels baggy, but that's what revision is for ⛰️

Baggy is a great description!

1493. I'm plunging ahead into difficult memories as I write the story of my life and times. This morning, I wrote about coming back to my teaching job after my divorce. I'd taken back my maiden name, and the students were disappointed it was me in front of them instead of the "new teacher" they had on their class schedules.

Todays count is 1090. Yesterday listening to Hilary Mantels memoir inspired me about writing more of my early journey with Christianity.

1012 today! 1005 yesterday. I'm a "stop when you get to 1000" person so I can start easier the next day. Thank you for this time, Jami.

1058 so far today, over half on the scene from my novel that I was writing yesterday, and the rest on a Substack post. Continuing with this now but not counting any more today - I need to finish it and then edit it.

Once again, thanks to Jami for this challenge; I clearly needed the kick to get me going again!
