I came late to the party because I was away but yesterday was my first day and I wrote 1100 words. Back at it again today. Thank you, Jami!

So glad I stumbled on this. I tried the summer one and made 3 days. Got 1015 in on Sunday when I read it and got on it. 880 today. Thanks for the inspiration and motivation, Jami. And if it never posted, loved your memoir, "I Came All This Way to Meet You." Think I've done the "geographic" as well with 26 moves during my now defunct marriage. Yikes.

I’m stumbling into the mini challenge a day late but so excited and inspired to borrow this structure and camaraderie to (re)ignite my daily writing rhythm in a very low barrier to entry way. It’s felt like an ongoing battle all year to show up even when I don’t know what to say (especially in a year where that’s almost always how I feel) I imagine at least some of the clarity I’m searching (waiting) for comes from clearing out the cobwebs and becoming a reliable collaborator for myself and creativity. My goal for the next few days is to show up and find out.

My goal is to do it, unlike yesterday, when I pretended it didn’t matter, offered up excuses to which I quickly gave in to. Here I am today and for the rest of the week, doing it.

Did 1,200 words between a journal entry, and upcoming blog post and brainstorming for an upcoming project yesterday. Onward for today’s 1000! Thank you, Jami, for motivating us and creating this community. ❤️

Just finished day 1 with about 1100 words for a narrative! Trying prod my husband to do it since he has been difficulty writing a thing—doing it together in the same room really makes a difference!

1,080 with just a few minutes to spare! Excited to participate in real time this time around (I had to start late the last round of 1,000 words because I got sick right as it started)

If my morning pages count, I may have come close. I hope tomorrow will be better!

I've been thinking about your recent letter, Jami, about getting to know your characters, sitting down for a conversation with a friend. I'm in the first third of a new project and aiming to use these focused days to really see these people personally, specifically and come to love them. I clocked 1718 words tonight!

I sat down today to write with your encouragement ringing in my head. My notebook said I have not written since Sept 6. Through packing and moving to another state, there was never a moment with head space for writing. When I finally left the computer to pee, I had written 2,500+ words. So excited to be back at it.

Started this rainy autumn day in a café, reading for hours and listening to strangers, finished it with 1120 :-) Really needed this, thank you!

1436 and I'm so grateful to get back into writing my book after being too exhausted / exhilarated to write since getting married in mid-August <3

this it a fire under my ass today. i sat down to work on the book and then wrote 1100 words about......doing the dishes. (an essay i've been ruminating on for the newsletter—I sat down with a first line I needed to remember, and the rest followed.) Now to try to write a single scene for the book, my "real homework" for the weekend. thanks jami. sending a big hug.

1,050. IF I stick to this challenge I'll hit the halfway point on my current writing project word count! Thanks for running this challenge, I needed a boost after a few months of drafting.

1026 words down today as I work on my very first novel! Felt great to just get words down on paper without hyper-focusing on how "good" those words are.
