1071!!! A hat trick of writing 1000+ words three days in a row! 🎩🎩🎩 There should be its own special word for this! Thank you for the inspiration, Jami! #mini1000
1000 word mini woke me up early and pushed me to the computer before 6:30am....way before my usual time. To everyone out there....keep going. That block isn't a block. It is us not believing that we have what it takes to do what we want to do...write a damn book and if I can, you can too!
Hi, all. I wrote 1,341 words. It wasn't as lovely as yesterday's output, but I did it. Lovely isn't required. I am moving forward, that's what counts. Have a great writing day.
So far, so good. Yesterday I learned that one of my 3 main characters was obsessed with wealth from an early age. Definitely deepens his story. And I also learned, as I seem to need to, over & over, how important it is to simply show up. It's as if, by appearing regularly, your characters come to expect you, & then they come to visit more regularly, too!
I'm starting today! Spent the weekend with my 1.5 year old nephew and prioritised playing over writing - and was richly rewarded when he started saying my name (the first person whose name he's said, except his parents).
For a long time missing two days would have made me think there was no point in joining, that I had already failed, but not this time. I'll write 1000 words today. Thank you for the inspiration and for the reassurance that it all counts, every word.
1,174 words today. A new scene; same WIP. I’ve found it helps me to have an idea which scene I want to work on, and to craft a first line in my head before I sit down. Three days in a row now, and I’ve hit the mark each time, the first line seems to trigger the flow. Fingers crossed I can keep it up.
1075...wrote a conversation / moment from the past / meet cute exploration for my movie script. Began it as a supportive precursor exercise, but now I'm realizing it kind of needs to be in the movie because of what it establishes and uncovers...fun. thank you!
I have 1,000 on the dot so far today and I started something new that practically wrote itself. I’m not ready to stop writing for today, though, so I’m going back to it. Yesterday I didn’t write at all, but Saturday I wrote over 1,500 words. I guess it all evens out in the end, or something like that.
Had a few hundred to make up for from yesterday. Today I couldn't quite make the words start coming when I was sitting down with my coffee and eggs so I made a Pinterest board of fancy dresses for an upcoming occasion, went for a trail walk, and finished up reframing a print. The productive momentum pushed me into writing. Yesterday's and today's word count combined is 2087, more than making up the difference!
1,407! I had a busy morning and couldn't sit down until late in the afternoon, which usually means death to anything productive, my mind is on its way out for the day. But this kept me in it, I got myself to the desk and got four words down, then twelve, and then I checked in again at 907. Finished the scene like it wrote itself. Loving this! Look at us all go!
1052 and I think I'll call it for the day and go to yoga! Hope it's going well for everyone!
Lol yoga was my reward, too, when I finished this morning!

LOL--I feel the same way. I can do it, you can do it, we can do it!

Exactly. Put one word in front of another and keep going. Inelegant or lovely.
I'll be choppin' it up today.
But first... The baby cows.

Wrote 450 words before work this morning, and will finish up the rest after I'm done for the day.
Light work load today so I did my writing from THE CUBE.
