I started late so today was my day two. Around 800 words, some by hand and some typed as part of my outline for a new work. It felt good to do the work!
1017 words. It was a bit of a slog, but finished a draft of something that now actually has a beginning, middle, and an end. Not sure how I'll feel about it tomorrow, but for now it's a win. I'll take it!
376 words tonight ("only," my brain says, but it's 376 more words than I had earlier today); in my defense, it *was* poetry; more tomorrow, and I won't save it for so late in the day
1139. Much harder to get going and stay focused today. I had to dig deep to get past 550, but once I restarted a character I’ve been trying to hear for months started to speak. I’m beginning to hear the cadence of her voice. Really grateful to get to begin the year this way.
1439 in 70 minutes. Huh. Apparently I can write over 1000 words in less than an entire day of rotting in my desk chair. Edit to add: make that 2291. Edit to add: finally stopping at just over 3000.

My day 2: 1024 words.
1225 words today. Love how being accountable to this time period gets me to my desk.

1800 today 👍🏼 (tired, late, oh well)
Tired, late, you did it!!
A great day, rewrote my opening scene. 1,900 words today.
A very late 1014, but I did it!
I write on an Alphasmart, so that is not conductive to tracking the wordcount, but I fixed some nagging issues I had with a piece I was writing.

Like how you dug deeper and kept going. Love it when I can start to hear a character's voice. Happy for you!
1736 today. I moved around a few documents so I lost count! Whoops (but, like, a good whoops)!

1021. A character I'd been having trouble figuring out is starting to make more sense to me!
Only just made it, as there was shopping for art projects. 1006 words. Tomorrow will be better (I hope).
