One of the amazing beauties of 1000 words is that all your morning letters are saved. Tomorrow, I’m going back to Day One from earlier this summer. 14 days of vacation, ten days of summer. (Giving myself grace on travel days to write on the plane or just think and note.) And bought myself a paperback version of the book with me, too. The e book was great but you can’t use a highlighter on an iPad.
I always try to think this will last for the rest of my life--so far, it has lasted steadily, not every every day, but as the earth turns around the sun, #thousandwords will have its time again. Now to get to it.
Three-day total: 3,465 new words banged out on a section I'd been putting off and dreading near the end of the novel. Thanks for the perfectly-timed Mini 1000. Onward!
I wrote exactly 1000 words today. I decided to stop, checked my word count, and had to laugh. I don't think I've ever hit exactly 1000 words before. But it was a good place to stop. My short story keeps growing. And I truly have just begun. What I thought might be 2500 words now looks like it might be 10,000. I will keep going. I'm having fun. Thank you so much for this Mini #1000 words, Jami!
Thank you for this wonderful opportunity to return to the 1000 Words ritual. I was able to write over 1000 each day and continued today for a 4th day. This time it is very personal—the mini helped propel me to write out and express my current experience with the end-of-life of a loved one. It's not easy but it has been profound.
1005! Thanks for playing everyone! ❤️

And success today. 1200 words so far.
Whoops, sorry for the double copy and paste! This is what happens when I get up at 5 to run these things. ;)

Nice!!
1200 for this final day of the mini! Thanks so much. Writing by hand this next week!
1,018 words down! And I’ll show up again tomorrow, in whatever way that may look like. Thank you for creating this feeling of possibility.
1001 words poured out of me first thing this morning. Thanks for this motivating container! Look forward to the next one!
Thanks for making the space. Hoping to make this a regular practice from tomorrow. Interested to see how I get on without the accountability…

(Missed day 3, but tried again today - Day 4, wrote the three full notebook pages - thank you for the accountability! One. Day. At. A. Time.)
