Day 1, Winter 2025, Mini 1000

Let's gooooo

Hi friends.

Today we will write 1000 words. Together. Because we’re all in on our creative selves this year. We’re going to write the things we want to write and not the things we think we should write. We shall write with abandon, with glee, with passion. We are going to do this thing—write today and every day for the next five days—because it will feel great. It’s for us. These words are for us. Because we deserve them. Now let’s claim them.

Welcome to the first day of the Mini 1000, five days in a row of writing 1000 words a day. It’s time to clear everything away and make time and space for our writing. A good place to start: Let’s articulate what we want to accomplish. Name it. It can be a temporary title or one you’ve been working with for a long time. If you like, drop it in the comments. And then let’s get to work.
